![]() FAQsDo teams have to have 10 members? No, If your team only has 7 or 8 individuals registered, you can still be a team. If you have more team members that is great. However, we request that you register two teams once you have 15 or more individuals. Is there a minimum amount to be fundraised per team? We ask that each team member raise a minimum of $100. If you are needing fundraising ideas, contact one of the committee members.Are Pets Allowed at the Event? NO- we encourage everyone to leave their pets at home. Service dogs are allowed.
Where can we sign out restaurant booklets? Restaurant booklets can be signed out to sell at the Canadian Cancer Society office at 727 Lansdowne Street West. Will there be food provided during the event?There will be a supper for sale from Kelsey’s (includes hamburger, salad, and can of pop) for $4.50 between 5:00 and 8:00 pm for anyone wishing to have supper there. A midnight snack is provided based on the registered team members. A breakfast is also provided. Any other food or beverages desired is the team member’s responsibility.
Teams are encouraged to stay until the end. However, individuals who, for health or other reasons, cannot stay the entire length are free to leave as they deem necessary. I have only just been diagnosed with cancer. Do I still qualify as a survivor? Absolutely. It doesn't matter if it has been one hour or fifty years the reason why we have the survivors lap is to have survivors supporting survivors and really shows that no one is alone in this fight. |
